The article entitled, “GSRMA Implements New Management Software,” has been published in the July-December 2010 issue of Membership Matters, a newsletter by the Association of Governmental Risk Pools (AGRiP) based in Prague, OK. It can be found posted on the AGRIP website at: www.AGRiP.org/services/newsletter. The article taken from, "The IT Hit List: Seven Key Features to a Risk Pool Solution," illustrates how one government risk pool —Golden State Risk Management Authority (GSRMA) —was able to reap the benefits of implementing the CHSI Connections Management System.

In the past, available technology solutions were either designed for insurance companies and extremely expensive, or they required a lot of customization to meet a government risk pool’s specific data management needs. Today, solutions specifically designed for government risk pools are finally emerging, and pool administrators must be aware of the seven key capabilities to look for in a new system.
